FIBROMYALGIA SCREENING PANEL

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that affects the whole body, specifically causing pain in muscles, ligaments and tendons. If you hurt all over, have a hard time sleeping, if you’re exhausted all the time or if you can’t concentrate, you may have Fibromyalgia.

Doctors and research scientists continue to look for what causes Fibromyalgia. Diagnosis is often difficult so many doctors order blood work and x‐rays to exclude other issues such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and a host of other disorders. Fibromyalgia tends to develop during early or middle adulthood, but it can also strike children and older adults. While the pain usually doesn’t go away, this disease is not life threatening, and proven treatments are available to help relieve symptoms.
