WHY DO I NEED TO BE TESTED FOR THE DISEASES WITHIN THE TICK PANEL?
Tick bites often go unnoticed, making tick-borne illnesses sometimes challenging to diagnose. Without proper treatment, some of these diseases can be fatal. Typical symptoms include but are not limited to:
• Abdominal Pain
• Bleeding Disorders
• Chills
• Confusion
• Difficulty Breathing
• Fever
• Headaches
• Malaise
• Muscle Pain
• Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea
• Rash
The initial diagnosis is made based on clinical signs and symptoms, and medical history, and can later be confirmed by using specialized laboratory tests. Death can occur if not treated.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY TEST RESULTS?
Test results take approximately two (2) weeks after your specimen has been collected.
WHAT ARE THE TEST RANGES FOR EACH OF THE DISEASES TESTED FOR IN THE TICK PANEL?
Positive or Negative. Positive results include DNA sequence identification of species detected.
Indeterminate PCR, Indeterminate Sequence – A positive PCR was obtained. However, DNA sequencing was not successful and repeat PCR was negative.
IF MY TEST RESULTS ARE POSITIVE, WHAT TYPE OF PHYSICIAN SHOULD I SEE?
