DESCRIPTION:
The Strep A Rapid Result Screen is an instant test that tells if you within 10 minutes if you have Strep Throat (Streptococcus A antibody). Streptococcus A is the bacterium that causes strep throat – which has symptoms of a sore throat, fever, and others. Without treatment, strep throat could cause other medical problems.

Although anyone can get strep throat, it is most common in school‐age children, passed by coughing, sneezing and other means. People who smoke, who are fatigued, run down, or who live in damp, crowded conditions are also more likely to become infected.

Normal Range:
This test reports a positive or negative. A positive result indicates you may have strep throat. A negative result indicates that you do not have strep throat or the antibodies are not registering in the throat swab yet.

Low Results Indicate:
There are no low results for this test.
